Browsing the Market (Atsuko/Plene/Icarus, ask to join)

What she was thinking about all that time had been true.

What an achievement. Way to go. That'll do me a lot of good.

She was thinking to herself as she was put onto a humiliating act, a stage set for her selling. As absurd as it sounded, this is what it had come to. The Tuffle race, nothing more than laborers for the Saiyans. They had already lost their homes, and now they have to deal with this. Seemed like a shitty life to live in, and it didn't seem like it was going to get any better from here on out.

Plene took a long look below her, attempting to see what she was labeled as.

"Cute"... "Maid"... "Mute"... "Wise ass"... I know the monkey was a prick, but THIS? Pathetic. Did he batter his hand while thinking about me?

She gave the describer a piece of her mind by frowning at it with all she had before one of the people guarding the merchandise snapped at her and told her to look straight outwards. Plene gave him a snarled lip before deciding to co-operate and do as asked. That's what got her in trouble with the male saiyan in the first place.

All jokes aside, if he wasn't stupid he would have punched me in the gut right there. I already feel sore from skin to bone.

The young woman continued to stand there and look pretty, waiting for the day to pass by.

It wasn't but a few minutes up there that a Saiyan seemed interested in her. Plene watched as the strangely blonde Saiyan looked her over. Not that she didn't care for someone checking her out, but the attention made beads of sweat collect on her forehead. She decided to exchange glances with the Saiyan for some time, subtly changing her expression from blank to curiosity.

So, this girl's going to be the one getting me, huh? Well that can't be too ba-

Her thoughts get caught up as she sees another pair of them walk and look her over. Were they parents? huh you do not see that often enough around vegeta, but it is still a thing that happens. The young tuffle noticed that the group had just... bought her? That was sudden. She quickly started to make slow gestures with her hands, attempting to communicate with sign language as she was being lead out of the stage and put next to the group.

("It's funny, seeing your life be sold. Hello, Blondie.")

She wasn't quite sure if the group knew anything about sign language but hoped that just maybe they would get what she was hinting at. if not by her hands, by her slightly sullen expression that wiped her face.

Plene's little test to see if the girl truly knew what she was gesturing out had passed with a solid 'No', and after a moment of Plene staring at Kimiko she drew up her hand and face-palmed. She shook her head as well, opening her mouth as if to say something, but with nothing coming out.

Ay Yai Yai... I can't even make fun of them. She quickly redrew her posture as the man displayed the brutality of a Saiyan against the younger female. It wasn't even the funny sort of violence you can get, but more so the serious barking type. She turned away for a moment only to have her attention caught again by Blondie. Hmm, she didn't want any of this? Well isn't that dandy, because neither did Plene. She mouthed slowly this time, attempting a different form of communication.

["Nice name Blondie, I am called Plene. Do not worry, I too did not want any of this."]

The tuffle smirked, crossing her arms and looking at her as if she expected some sort of comeback. Whether or not she'd get one was unknown, but she remained cautious of the male and eyed him every so often, as to make sure he didn't just spring up and slap her or something like that.

A bit of a commotion began to take form at one of the far ends of the market. The listing for the special muscle type they advertised not always listed on the terminals. A couple saiyans dressed in merchant robes and jewels with a line up of Tuffles and and a couple mutants on display. A few walking by spoke of special variety entertainment. A small crowd of saiyans and free mutants of all forms of life. From the appearance of the poorest meat cutter to even a few higher looking masters of slaves. Even a soldier or two although personal slaves didn't seem the thing for military men. 

"Please don't be hesitant to step up and view my wares! We have some fine selection brought to you from the wastes of the deserts to the capital cities! Don't miss out you won't find better stock and we're down to just a few left!"

The man had sold a few of his men of value. Many of them wearing little more then the rags they needed. Why give fine clothes to what you plan to sell after all. The mutants that remained and on lasting Tuffle were being spoken about as if the man were a salesmen. Holding a small wooden baton that he occasionally smacked into their stomachs across the abdomen to show their muscles built from the work they could do. Remarking of how his wares didn't flinch when taught with the lash. So people could feel free to properly discipline at your leisure. Leaving small bruises and cuts on his prior freshly cleaned of wound goods. It always was more pleasing to see clean goods with new wounds then prior scarred types. Bettered the show and made better for sells.

A few of the of the watchers laughed and joked seeming to enjoy seeing the mutants that made them recall the long since gone PTO and Tuffles they'd conquered to be played around with. Often rousing the idea for personal use and purchase as well. One women yelled out cutting off one of the speeches the man gave as he was trying to shoe off the scales of one the mutants to bring up the variant of his species aquatic features. 

"Can they fight?"... "Are they trained? "..."Can They fuck!"

The gathering giving off a light chuckle the man performing for his audience as if he was listening to all his audience who asked on the wears he offered. His lash thrashing into chest of the Tuffle he had on stage. The boy Icarus who coughed lightly at the newest pain he tried to fight off that burned at his gut from the sensation. The groaning feeling of trading houses to some new ideal of master feeling as though a bit of his very soul was burning from the though. He took in all questions and made best attempt at keeping crown pleased atop the quickly built wooden stage.

"They can indeed fight! Stronger then most may think! However not as good as my brothers and sisters of true warrior birth! But they provide show! You have not lived until you've seen two of these small creatures fight to the death. Kicking and clawing like the animals we know them to be."

Icarus felt his stomach churn being this close to the man and his regalement of the games some of them were made to play for the saiyans that forced it upon them. Fighting for amusement of warriors as they were playing with toys. Usually rewarded with little more then a warm meal or offer of other Tuffle slaves for a night as reward. He'd know personal pains but those memories were often locked away after creation. Past notions best attempted to forget after committing them.  It was disgusting and sadly enough probably the closest to a good life many would ever get too. His eyes lightly flinched however keeping his straight up posture however arms to his side  back straight wearing nothing but simple cloth pants. Even his feet bare upon the ground. But his eyes flinched as stated when the merchant pulled forth a simple saiyan dagger forged from animal bone.

"Are they trained! I only secure the most well procured sorts for you my friends. Only those who could endure all you need of them from work to battle. See how they don't even flinch."

He'd say his words going along side as he'd drag the the dagger across Icarus's left side of his chest along the breast above the heart. A line slowly dragging through adding a little blood as flesh parted. Coloring his white flesh with crimson tone. A real seller to the Saiyan crowd that would stir their senses when the fresh blood scent hit their noses it was the scent of fine wine to many. The past scars were removed before sell as best as could be with ointments and ki techniques. The cleaner bodies looked the easier it was to sell. A trick of trades many often did before exchanging old slaves to market. Icarus's teeth grind in his mouth. Keeping for the moment from reaction. If he did anything rash and caused himself to fail to be sold he could face far worse consequence making standing against this act of show worse then just playing along. His eyes couldn't help but flicker over the crown at these people. It made one feel... very low like a insect in this world. People ready to paw at you use you and likely discard you after.

"When pain wears on them" Finishing his words from before.

"An although I do not endorse certain acts... Should you wish a slave for such entertainment?"

He'd say in regard to the last question roared earlier. The merchants saiyan hand would pull at the string tied to hold up the cloth tattered pants resulting in them to fall. Picking on the Tuffle through this showing since Tuffle targets stirred hte audience more then mutants. Icarus flashing a bit of instinct as he tried to grab at the waist band breaking his posture for a moment only to feel a quickly reactionary lash on his knuckles by the wooden baton. Gripping them into fist from pain. As they fell a secondary attempt that quickly followed the first would be met with hard lash upon the side of the head forming a small cut on the boys head above his eye as a light bit of blood dripped down into his left eye from the wound on his brow. Cut on his left side of his upper chest and gashed cut on his head he lightly shaken retook posture. Clearly in a bit of a state as he grit his teeth and looked away unable to focus on those who laughed or yelled obscenities. A few offers being yelled as well his stomach churning at what would become of him after this showing.

He could feel eyes on him as well as the two vendors eyes on the back of his head as he looked away none to pleased on the breaking of show. At least it didn't damper dealings much it seemed or he'd likely have seen more red before the night was over.

"I hear a few good offers! I'm willing to deal if you beat other offers of course! Ahaha. This one is fiesty you see you could have with this one! Just give me the coin and you teach this Tuffle some real manners. Icarus! The Tuffle of blood and joys. Carnal pleasures or protection from his own kind. For the coin he can be all you desire him to be!"

The description the way it said, Even the name to degree churned stomach given how they all related to past thought. To make way for the next mutants the man nodded to his friend who was bellow the small wooden stage the men were presented on. To make dealings. He'd gouge all he could on price as this wasn't officially listed selling. Although they did have the paper work the ownership would be legal just not perhaps the method of purchase. Icarus could feel his legs weak as he felt a bit weak and sick stomached. He wanted this to be done he hadn't expected he could feel any lower when this started but once again he was proven wrong. All he could do was have sick flashes of what happened the last few times he traded masters. As well as worry this showing could regale old memories to return in act.

With a final thunk the end of the baton lightly hit onto his chin forcing him to look up towards the crown and forward. Twitchy expression trying to hold fearsome look. As the four foot and some change Tuffle stood in strong form. Exposed and bleeding to the crowd awaiting whatever fate would befall him. His eyes fixated from person to person with eyes of different intent from the variety that look forward. This was the face of commerce that stretched all over the outer cities of Vegeta.

Kimiko couldn't help but smile as she saw Plene's grin. At least she wasn't taking offense, which put the Albino Saiyan at ease. Although she did catch the 'cute' comment, which did make her blush a bit in response... Seemed like she had no defense against that sort of thing. Was it really the first time she'd gotten called that? If she had been asked about that, the answer would be a rather surprising "yes". Of course before that could be too much of a focus, the commotion nearby had interrupted. Plene's question was then met with a sigh and a nod.

"They wanted me to find the highest quality Slaves that would fit into two categories... I'm not going to like this very much either...", Kimiko took a few moments to compose herself, and then she stepped into the crowd in order to get a look at what was going on. Of course, it was another Tuffle Slave that was going on sale, amongst others that were available for purchase. But it seemed as if the Tuffle Male had become the most popular of the... 'Wares'. Since the market had quickly gotten so chaotic, it caught the attention of Kimiko's parents as well.

"Well?", her Father directed towards the Daughter. Prompting her to give a nod in response. She wanted to just be out of here and get this over with. And to be honest, it seemed like the Tuffle that had gathered such a crowd seemed to feel the same way. With that simple gesture, her Mother and Father had joined into the bidding for Icarus. Kimiko then turned to Plene again, shaking her head. "It will be nice once this is over with... Once we get back, would you like anything?"

Fortunately, with her parents distracted. Kimiko and Plene were free to talk with each other. At least until the auction was over with. Just as before, none of the money was in her hands. So it would be a matter of time to see if they came out empty-handed or not...

Plene gave a soft sigh at the confirmation. It seemed to bother her slightly, but she tried keeping it under wraps as much as she could by sticking with a blank expression. Okay, maybe it will not be so bad. Or maybe it is, knowing Saiyans. It's probably some brawl between two of my people. It was an understandable assumption, given the times.

Plene watched as the two of Blondie's parents went off to the crowd. Kimiko seemed to want to give her something as a token. It wasn't something she had expected a Saiyan to say. She still wasn't sure if Blondie was being serious or not. Plene's brow perked at her for the moment.

"[Are you being serious, Blondie?]"

She mouthed again to her, staring into her eyes to try and figure her out. It wasn't every day that someone was offering something. Her last master sure didn't want to give anything to her smart ass, and they had been together for nearly eleven years.

The man that greeted him was your average intimidating saiyan. Certainty adding immediate expectation that this may be a man who would expect much. Work or battle were to be his goals if he'd make quick guess at what fate awaited him. Although just as he'd attempt to stand at attention to put on good impression Icarus's eyes took a bit of a surprised expression widening a bit in disbelief when he was pointed and explained that he was to be purchased for daughter not head of house. If shackles weren't at his wrists he may have taken head to forehead out of surprise. This definitely wasn't the fate he expected at all wondering what this was to be. She didn't look as child but she clearly wasn't as aged as the other warriors. He'd seen enough of their young to tell she was roughly around his age give or take perhaps. Although the older they got the harder age was to pin point on the apes.



Icarus would get a shove from his position via the vendor as he stood and stared for a bit too long and walked away looking back for a something grumbling something about behemoth shit towards the man. His breath was lightly heavy and he still smelled of blood from the light wounds. Wondering on if he was to be toy, Slave, Or what an heir would even require of one like him. He wasn't exactly the kind of servant to tend to inner house needs like cleaning or what the maids were for.



The jingle of the chain that held his wrists via the two metal cuffs came to a halt as he stopped near both of them trading glances over the two of them before bowing his head as light custom showing of beginning loyalty. His short hair thick with sweat from the early travel he'd met in chain gang with the other slaves to city this morning. His eyes raising back to meet the blonde girl he'd now call master. Light brown eyes meeting the albino directly. Gauging his master as he expected to be gauged in return.



"My name given by saiyans is Icarus. But you decide what I shall be called if wished change. I will serve as you see fit. My life is yours to be burned cut or caged at your leisure. Master?"





Asking regard of name after quickly giving a sentiment of loyal words. Some master like that sorta thing. Usually in this case either name or other title was presented. Or some said nothing and just expected master to suffice. Icarus's eyes flickering to the side just a bit towards the direction of Atsuko's father before returning to her out of reaction. As if still feeling a bit odd at the relocation from master to daughter as master. Or if perhaps head of house was still master in the end. Playing possible scenarios for how this would play out in his head as he gave greetings. Lowering his eyes once more after words were given.

As Icarus introduced himself, Kimiko started to feel a bit uncomfortable. Before she said anything, however... She took a glance towards her parents. Okay, good. They weren't focused on her right now. "You don't need to act like that. I just got finished telling her, they're making me do this... And only because I'm the last of their children left.", the Albino Saiyan explained, and then grasped some of her own hair as if to make a point. "The hair, and the eyes. I was considered a "defect", day one. How I acted didn't help matters."

The Saiyan gave a shrug as she turned her attention to Plene again, listening to what she wanted. "Done. I can actually arrange all of that. Well, the dinner might be tricky. Don't mind eating at home, do you? I can sneak some food when no one's looking.", she stated without a single hint of sarcasm in her voice... One was uncertain of what was more surprising about this. The fact that she couldn't tell that Plene wasn't being serious, or the fact that the Saiyan had so readily agreed to the terms with practical smile on her face.

"Neither of you are Slaves in my book. Officially, well, we have to keep up an act... You've seen what he does to me.", Kimiko once again made another gesture to her Father. "I'd rather not think about what happens if he gets in a bad mood and that's directed towards you two...", the Saiyan finished. And then began to take in the full effect of Icarus' wounds. "Are you alright? We'll get that cleaned up and treated soon as we're back. It shouldn't be too much longer now that I've done what they've demanded."

In all of the excitement. She'd forgotten to introduce herself properly. "Ah... Right. I'm Kimiko. Nice to meet both of you. Though again, I wish it was under better circumstances.", with that out of the way... It wasn't too much longer before her parents wandered back over. "Hmph. Done holding conversation with your animals, Little Shit? We're heading back now. Keep them under your control.", Her Father said in a usual condescending tone of voice. And then they began to lead the way... The Albino Saiyan just seemed to take the insult she received in stride.

She let out a sigh, and a gesture for the two to follow. "Just keep close. They don't really care about what we're doing.", Kimiko then began to walk as well. Though she stayed a fairly decent amount behind. Not too keen on being in earshot of them, understandably.

..."[No kiddin'?]" Plene rose her brows up in surprise as Kimiko replied to her demands with no sarcasm, no joking tone. The young Saiyan kept surprising the tuffle with everything she was saying; It was unlike anything she had seen before. If she was actually willing to do that much for her, then she's not the kind of Saiyan that deserves constant battering from her comments. She looked off to the side, rubbing her arm as she mouthed.

"[Well, it's nice to see that you aren't like the rest of these muscles for brains. Yes, dinner at home wouldn't be awful... It's a nice change, really. Compared to my last master, you are already a beautiful goddess who hands out all sorts of nick knacks. I'm going to clean the fuck out of your home if you really mean that you'd do all that for me.]"" She looked as sincere as it got. Considering what she has been acting like up to that point, it's like a completely different person.

"[My, aren't you a bold and careless one, so willing to throw away your life. Don't tell me you'll put on that display of mope and depression for the duration of our time. If so, we'll have problems.]" She started, crossing her arms before looking to Kimiko again. "[You're not defective at all, Sweet Tart. I mean, you got a voice you can still use at least. Majority of them are nothing but a bulk of muscle to throw at people.]"

She watched as the man came on around and talked down Kimiko before turning to walk away without a care in his mind. behind his back, the tuffle stuck her tongue out at him.
